Unmoved

The orange sky battles with the dark grey clouds,
as if a tournament of weather is on its way.
The wind blows hard and the waves of the sea hamper the ocean rocks.
And there she is. Her eyes, heavy. Her breath, wanting.

All of a sudden, tears roll down her eyes, silent but piercing.
Her hair sways with the angry wind. Yet, she remains unmoved.
She raises her head more and looks at the vast dark sky.
Looking from afar, I can feel her pain.

Then the rain outbursts its wrath.
Loud drops of water echo as they hit the rooftop.
I gasp as I look out the window, wondering if she finds a place to shed on
But she remains still. Her tears now concealed by the rain.

I try to ignore the melancholic image of the girl
My heart beats faster as I fight for more air.
My clothes are wet and my feet are now full of sand.
That's when I realize how clear the sea water is despite the storm,
and that I am desperately looking at my reflection. :'(
